Great place and very friendly service!! We were looking for a place to turn some old outdated jewelry into cash. Found them and really happy with what we received. Visited here a few times.
They have a great selection of jewelry and other items on the floor. Many tools and other items for sale too. More items on their website. Pleasure to deal with. Highly recommended!! -
Just had one of the best experiences ever at Family Jewelry and Pawn in Minneola, and it’s all thanks to Mike. Seriously—cool guy, knows his stuff, and made the whole thing way easier than I expected.
Mike was super chill, super helpful, and somehow made selling stuff actually enjoyable—which I didn’t even think was possible. Felt more like chatting with a friend than doing a transaction.
If you’re headed there, do yourself a favor and ask for Mike. He’s the real MVP. I’ll definitely be back—not just for the great deals, but because Mike made the whole thing awesome. -
I have been going here for years which is why I'm giving an "honest" review. A pawn shop is a business that needs to make profit in order to continue the services specifically provided. How most pawn shops determine the value of an item is by going on Ebay and looking at the sold and finished auctions of the specific item. From that list each shop has a certain percentage that they are allowed to offer a customer or it would not be worth it to them. The way any business should speak to customers is with respect and these customers are the reason you are still in business. Word of mouth is the best advertisement. What if 90% of the customers they have decided not to go back. We'll they would be out of business and I think that some of the workers here forget that important aspect. I have had great experiences dealing with this business and unfortunately the bad are telling me not to go back. I have been spoken to disrespectfully a few times. Being a former Sergeant I'm very big on Loyalty, Duty, Respect, Selfless-Service, Honorable, Integrity, and Personal Courage. That is an acronym of Leadership or the Army's way LDRSHIP. I give respect and expect to be given the same. If a person or business disrespects you that means they don't appreciate you. Due to this I will not be going back.

Was extremely pleased with my experience with Carol. She took her time and checked each piece of jewelry thoroughly. She was very fair and I was very happy with the purchase price. I will definitely come back and refer them to my friends.

I had never been in a pawn shop before and didn’t know what to expect or had expectations from TV shows. I was blown away by the service and friendly staff. I ended up buying TV’s, laptops, tools and even some jewelry at a huge discount to what I was finding on Amazon or Costco. If you haven’t ever shopped here and are looking for electronics, tools, jewelry or are into guns this is a must stop. I’m sure not all pawn shops are the same but Family Jewelry and Pawn is very clean with quality products and great staff.

My husband and I went into this Pawn Store this past Friday (August 25, 2023) looking for rare coins. My husband found some that he doesn't have and was interested in. The prices are fair and the selection was pretty good. They are very friendly and helpful there. We will definitely be returning.

I went in to sell my wedding ring. I wish I wrote down the 2 ladies names that helped me but all the employees was super friendly and talked with ease and respect. I went with the intentions of selling my ring for a certain amount but with the proper testing and a few minutes spent, they actually gave me more then I asked for.... thank you so much for being fair and not ripping the customer. I thank you for sale and i will make sure to buy my daughter her favorite ice cream. Thank you guys so much again. I'll def be spreading the word and will be make for that PS5 😁. We are beyond excited and thrilled with our handgun purchases with FJP! This was my first handgun, and the sales associate, Brayden, was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable about what makes and models would work best for me as a CC gun. I found one that was absolutely perfect for me! My husband was also looking for a very specific make/model that, due to its popularity, isn’t always available in all shops. They not only had one, but it was an “XL” version that worked even better for my husband. They sell both refurbished and brand new firearms (all types). (We chose to purchase new ones).
Brayden assisted us from start to finish, taking care of all of the required steps, and everyone else in the store was also friendly and professional. They all helped to make the visit to the store and our purchase so enjoyable!
A wonderful benefit of purchasing from FJP is that they get to know you, so when you come to the store, they treat you like a friend. -

Tim helped me with my first pistol purchase, he was extremely informative and offered plenty of advice. I was shown plenty of options, and the gun I was looking for was in stock. They do layaway, and a CCW class is discounted if you buy a gun.
The CCW class was also informative, realistic, and Tim kept it fun and involved. It didn't take a long time, and parking was fine for a decent sized class on a Saturday. (No stress about masks)
All in all a great experience, will be doing plenty of business with this store as it's very local, and they seem like good people who deserve it.
Side note to Tim, Nazis aren't coming for your guns, (((communists))) are ;) -
Best pawn shop around. Staff are so friendly. Caught it when they had a special on the AR-15s and got at a phenomenal price. The staff were more than willing to help me with questions I had. Definitely recommend. Will be back for ammo and more guns.

I’ve purchased one handgun gun from Family Jewelry and Pawn and have another on layaway. First, I have to say that they have the best layaway terms that I’ve ever seen, so if you want to pay slowly over time, this is a great resource.
This is the friendliest, most welcoming gun shop I’ve ever been to. Being new to the world of firearms, in other stores I’ve felt very intimidated and unsure of myself. Not here! The entire staff is trained to take the time that I need to feel comfortable and makes sure I understand how to safely operate the weapons.
Secondly, when you purchase a gun you can get a discount on their Concealed Carry Weapons class. Tim was my instructor and he was amazing! He was able to incorporate real-world scenarios and keep the class engaging and entertaining. If you’re looking for a CCW class, (weather you bought a gun there or not), I highly recommend this location.
